I’m Michael Varnell in Rogers, Arkansas, United States. I run this portfolio for recruiting and professional inquiries. I decide how to use the information you send me. For privacy questions or requests, email movarnell@gmail.com.
When you visit
Google’s Firebase Hosting receives your IP address to deliver the site. Google says it keeps IP information for a few months to detect abuse and analyze service use. The portfolio uses system fonts, serves its own images and icons, and uses no advertising cookies or visitor analytics. External links take you to sites with their own privacy practices. When you send a message
The contact form asks for an email address so I can reply and a message so I know how to help. Your name is optional. You can browse without sending anything. When you select Send, EmailJS processes your reply address, message, optional name and acknowledgment of the contact guidelines and delivers the inquiry to my Google mailbox.
I use these details to read, respond to and follow up on your inquiry. Where GDPR applies, my legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering correspondence you initiate and keeping the site secure. I do not use inquiries for mailing lists, profiling or automated decisions.
Where data goes and how long it stays
I receive your message in the United States. My policy is to delete contact-form correspondence from my mailbox within 90 days after the conversation ends. EmailJS separately processes delivery records and may retain request contents depending on its history settings. Its published policy gives a 30-day retention period for active accounts and describes separate security logging.
EmailJS says it processes data in the United States and uses standard contractual clauses for covered transfers from Europe. Google describes its transfer arrangements in its privacy documentation. Email me if you would like information about the safeguards applicable to your information or a copy of them. EmailJS privacy policy · Google’s data transfer information

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or ask me to restrict its use. Where applicable, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests, request portability, and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work.
